New Connector Technology Helps Chevron Boost Reliability in Offshore Environments

Houston, TX – July 2025 – Texas-based distributor Texas Electrical Connectors has supplied the JOWO 8819 Series to Chevron for a retrofit of its offshore crude oil vessel.

These ATEX certified marine connectors have performed without failure under harsh environmental conditions, including exposure to saltwater, heavy vibration, and oil vapor.

Engineered in Germany and approved for use in Zone 1 environments, the 8819 Series features a no-potting-required design, push-pull mating, and corrosion-proof housing ideal for pump and lighting circuits. The connector is already being used by offshore operators including Chevron, Manning Electric, and Dolphin Agencies.

Texas Electrical Connectors is offering a $1000 shipping credit for U.S. customers along with a free copy of its Marine Connector Whitepaper.
